Lesson 6 Solving for the "Height"

The most important concept of today's lesson was trying to find the height when you are given the radius and volume. The concept i think helped me the most was the fact that, we were given only certain sides of the cylinder while others were missing. We were able to find out a formula to find a missing unit of a cylinder. What i notice about the height was that was when the radius increased the height decreased and the volume stayed the same obviously.

The two lines are the the same because they both have the same curve except the first equation is positive and the second equation is negative. Also, the function are identical except that the blue formula is has a negative three (-3).

1. What was one major idea that you learned today?

I learned how to use the spreadsheet to create graphs. Also i learned how to make a graph without using a calculator.

2. What is one major problem that you had today and how would you, by yourself, handle it next time?

The only problem i had was remembering the steps in creating a graph. Next time, i know to write down some notes to help me remember what i have to do.
